Sinar Mas Land Presents Digital Experience Center in BSD City

BSD City, January 18, 2024 - The Digital Hub BSD City has once again been designated as an innovation center, this time by two tenants from Sinar Mas Land's partner companies, PT NTT Indonesia Technology, which is part of NTT Ltd., and Microsoft Indonesia. Both companies initiated the opening of the Digital Experience Center (DXC). DXC is an innovation center spanning 525 square meters equipped with comprehensive digital facilities and resources to foster more digital innovations, accelerate business development, and expedite Indonesia's digital economic growth.

 

The inauguration ceremony of DXC was held by Irawan Harahap (CEO Digital Tech Ecosystem & Development Sinar Mas Land), Ridwan Darmali (President Director of PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk), Saleh Husin (Managing Director President Office Sinar Mas), Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan (Director General of Informatics Application, Ministry of Communication of the Republic of Indonesia), Budi Arie Setiadi (Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia), Andi Ony (Regent of Tangerang), Dharma Simorangkir (President Director of Microsoft Indonesia), Hendra Lesmana (President Director of NTT Indonesia Technology), and Aris Sulistyanto (Head of Transformation of NTT Indonesia Technology) on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at DXC, Green Office Park (GOP 9), BSD City.

 

Vision of Digital Hub as Indonesia's Technology Ecosystem

 

The Digital Hub aims to become Indonesia's future technology ecosystem comprising creative institutions, education, enterprise, talent development, startups, venture capital, and multinational companies. By 2024, the Digital Hub attracted 40 companies to join its technology ecosystem, including national and multinational corporations such as MyRepublic, NTT, NTT Data, Microsoft, Ruang Guru, and Indonesian unicorn startups Traveloka and Tokopedia.

 

Various non-formal IT schools with international standards, such as Apple Academy, Binar Academy, Purwadhika Digital Technology School, Hacktiv8, and international educational institutions like Monash University and Binus University, are part of the Digital Hub ecosystem. Creative institutions such as G2G, Imajin, Social Bread, DCT Agency, and Lucy Entertainment Park are also present. Startups include SIRCLO, GoWork, SWAP, Hologram Indonesia, V-Office, Fore, and Paper.id, AMODA, JumpStart, AKAR, Waste 4 Change, and Beam have joined the Digital Hub ecosystem. Living Lab Ventures complements the Digital Hub ecosystem in terms of venture capital companies.

 

Located on the ground floor of the GOP 9 building in BSD City, DXC comprises several exhibition areas, auditoriums, and meeting rooms that can be utilized for digital innovation incubation activities, digital business development, and digital competency enhancement, accompanied by technology solution support from NTT and Microsoft. This support includes jointly identifying technology needs according to industry type and scale, with various technology solutions ranging from business applications, security, infrastructure, and connectivity to artificial intelligence (AI). Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia stated, "Through the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology's initiative, we continuously accelerate Smart Manufacturing and Smart Cities through the development of 5G and 6G as the main enablers to accelerate the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Indonesia as a step towards the vision of 100 Smart Cities in Indonesia by 2045. With this Digital Experience Center's presence, I believe there will be more innovations that can be used to drive smart city development. We hope the collaboration between Sinar Mas Land, NTT Indonesia Technology, and Microsoft Indonesia will also provide positive benefits. We hope that this good initiative will continue to be carried out by industry players so that they can adopt digital technology to improve the quality of life of the people towards Indonesia Maju."
